Yep, that's where I live and this is where I will stay.
You see it's the smallest big city in the country and with that, we fortunate few who live in the area, enjoy the best of both worlds/
We have a world class Orchestra, a top of the line Art Museum, three of the big four professional sports are represented with the Cleveland
Indians, Browns and Cavs.
My favorite is the theater district which lights up Playhouse Square like a mini Broadway. There are Broadway Plays, Shakespeare and classic theatrical productions. Cleveland also has several this close to professional little theaters that put on great shows all year long.
Oh and we have this continuous ring of parks that is truly unique. We call it the Emerald Necklace
Then there is the Lake and all that draws in. There is one of the best Amusement Parks just 50 or so miles up the shore. There are also a couple of really fun islands up there by Sandusky that afford a whole different way to relax.
Real good skiing just two hours away in New York.
And the health care, right up there at the top as the Cleveland Clinic is on the cutting edge of many areas of medicine.
The market here is top 20 even though Cleveland's population has dropped about two thirds of from it's peak back in the 50's.
I just wanted to say I spent so many years wanting to leave this place and the more I stick around the more lucky I feel about living here in the Best Location in the Nation.

(4,858 posts)...and just loved it. The city is beautiful, and the area is lovely. Can anyone explain to me why the city has lost *so* much population? And is it--the decline--ever going to reach a natural equilibrium, and start to grow again? The place has so much to offer...
