"'Is your French girl in town?': Epstein files reveal correspondence with David Blaine"

This is the headline from an article in "The Irish Times" dated 02/12/26 with a byline from Naomi O'Leary. The article goes into detail about how Epstein was particularly drawn to magicians. The reference for David Blaine was about getting him to write a letter of support for a US visa application. They maintained a "friendship" of sorts for several years according to the article.

One particular document from the Epstein files is very noteworthy and it is from someone writing to Epstein about an Irish magician named Keith Barry. The article quotes the document from the sender to Epstein:

"“Feel free to read the attached articles on Keith Barry, how he manipulates minds and what we can learn from his tricks,” one correspondent wrote in an email sent to Epstein, in reference to the Irish magician. There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by Barry or that he and Epstein had any contact. Barry did not respond to a request for comment."

Using mind manipulation techniques. One of the features of abusers, pedophiles, authoritarians etc. is mind manipulation/emotional manipulation etc. to draw in victims/accomplices and exercise and maintain control over them. Billionaire business people and lawyers also engage in mind manipulation of sorts during business/legal settlement negotiations. Here we have a convergence of those areas and the use of psychological techniques is fairly common. Instigating feelings of anxiety, use of fear, feigning admiration, creation of desire etc. are all fairly standard techniques used in sales everyday as well as at high levels.

But what is a different thing here is the magician angle, creation/manipulation of illusion etc. and Epstein's fascination with it all. The monster learning more for his purposes. Another monster, and close friend of the monster named Epstein, learned from his reading of "Mein Kampf", Nazi history, admiration of brutal authoritarian leaders and Roy Cohn. Birds of a feather.

1. Both Blaine and Copperfield have always struck me as REALLY creepy. And voila! They are both in the Epstein files.

It's not surprising. I don't know what it is about magicians. Aside from Doug Henning, they always seem to give off a real predator/molester vibe, and according to the article they were both accused of rape. I don't know if the world of magic draws these types, or if they just figured out along the way how easy it is to manipulate people and sickeningly ran with it.
