Senator Fetterman supports the GOP voting ID law just passed in House

To those who support the new voting ID the GOP support and just voted on in the House, think about how it will affect women and their ability to vote.
To get a birth certificate costs at least $30. If you married and your name is different than your birth name, you have to pay to get a copy of your marriage license which could cost up to $5o if it's available which sometimes it isn't. If you are on your second or third marriage, you will need all copies of marriage and divorce papers which will cost more. Manywomen can't afford this, and this bill affects women more than men due to only women changing their names for the most part.
This bill is a very expensive poll tax in another name and an attempt to make it much more difficult for women to vote, which is the goal of the GOP as stated by many in power.

In small towns people are known to the poll workers. Will a 90 year old known in town without a drivers license be denied voting? Married woman with name changes?

It will hit both sides but some discretion to local personal knowledge of a voter should be enough to vote.

Why does he even pretend to be a Democrat anymore? Instead of John his first name should be Judas.

He is not the same man I donated to. I think his stroke affected his personality and cognition...and not for the better.

He's a Republican at this point.

The stroke clearly changed him. I've seen others become an entirely different person after a stroke.

will opt to retain their "maiden names" for that purpose. I'm not talking hyphens. I mean birth name until death. And unfortunately in our culture, a lot of husbands won't be thrilled that their wives and children won't be monikered with THEIR names.

There aren’t any marriage licenses for common law marriages, that I know of!
