Republicans do not believe in consent. And thus they also do not believe in Democracy.

Trump and Republicans do not believe in consent -- whether it is consent of the governed or consent of a female to be sexually penetrated. They don't believe in consent in any context. And they also don't believe in Democracy or a Republic because consent is a big part of those systems.
Speaker Johnson whined last week about all the votes being counted on election night, about how a candidate can start out ahead and, once all the votes are counted, end up behind and lose. This is normal election night activity when all the votes are counted. It happens to Democrats and Republicans. It's Democracy, not "fraud".
What Johnson and Trump are telling us is that they don't believe in Democracy. Counting all the votes after an election is something Republicans believe shouldn't happen. They believe that if a Republican starts ahead on election night, then we should stop counting the votes, declare the Republican the winner, and then call all of the uncounted votes "fraud".
THAT IS NOT HOW ELECTIONS WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
But that is how Republicans want them to work. Their polices are unpopular. Instead of changing their extremist policies and platform to appeal to more voters, they want to choose their voters and suppress the right of anyone else to vote at all, so they can impose their Sharia law-like (or worse) policies on the entire nation, without their consent.
