We're not supposed to care. However, since Epstein was actively campaigning to rehabilitate his image while not his behavior...it's not great to show up on his donation list.

2. As long as it was happening before the 2018 Herald series, and the topics discussed are purely about funding

and not about sex/women, I don't think there's that great of cause to rake any such scientists over too hot a set of coals. I'd imagine many researchers are forced into securing grants from people and corporations they'd rather not pretty damn regularly.
