I was there in 2019 before this madness happened. It was built over a thousand years ago not too long after the Rus of the area converted. I also saw the Babi Yar horrors as well. Paid my respects there too.

Kyiv was massively underrated city in my travels. I liked it there a lot. I hope it can be free of the Putin menace and have some peace again.

Saw St. Sophia, St. Michael's and the Pechersk Lavra. Stayed on the Maidan that was the scene of the protests in 2014. A phenomenal history that rivals Rome and Paris in terms of culture, art and beauty.
