Israeli tourists expelled from Madrid museum after being called 'child killers'

"Globalize the Intifada" -- another country avoid.

Access with suitcases, large backpacks and large objects is not permitted, and items cannot be left in the available lockers if their length exceeds 50 cm.

Here is a video that shows the flag briefly in the very beginning.

The official length of the Israeli flag, as defined by 1948 legislation, is 220 cm (87 inches)
It looks to be a full sized flag that they are carrying.
None of this excuses the antisemitic things that were said to them.
But it sounds like they broke the rules and were escorted out for that.

Nobody would be allowed to do that.

However, the antisemitic things that were said to them are atrocious and inexcusable, and this global rise in antisemitism is probably why they had the flag in the first place.

or a sticker on a suitcase.

Three elderly Israeli women were expelled last Saturday from the Reina Sofía museum in Madrid after staff objected to them carrying items identifying them as Jewish, including an Israeli flag and a Star of David necklace.

If it was a full-size flag, then they were there trying to provoke and film a negative reaction, likely in response to the pro-Palestine exhibit referenced in the article:

The Reina Sofía, considered one of the world’s leading cultural institutions, held an exhibition during the Israel-Hamas war titled “From the River to the Sea” in solidarity with Palestinians and has hosted numerous anti-Israel protests in which antisemitic incidents were reported.
