2. This was the entirely predictable result of Trump's idiotic tariffs

He always has to go big so he imposes massive punitive tariffs that are wildly disproportionate to any actual harm being caused. Of course the affected countries aren’t just going to sit there and take it, they are going to look for alternative more reliable trade partners. If Trump had just imposed small to moderate targeted tariffs they wouldn’t be doing this. But he’s stupid and here we are.
