Snap peas, onions and peppers. It's obviously still too cold to get started planting tomatoes. But, soon. Very soon. All the neighbors have gotten big bags of citrus. The magnolias are starting to bloom. Always a great time of year. Give to the Earth and it'll give back to you!

(2,907 posts)That's rare for me. That said, I actually have a couple of trees (one plum and one avocado) grown from seeds.

(2,215 posts)Super thick skin. Bitter citrus flavor. Not much juice. What good are these?

(2,907 posts)Ours are the Minneola variety - the only variety I would consider growing. They grow almost as big as a good sized apple, have a thin skin and produce a lot of juice, the flavor of which is silky smooth with no bite whatsoever. Four of these tangelos will get you 12 ounces of juice that will make you forget orange juice forever.
