Black history Month, the lunar New Year and the festivals linked to Lent.
Timing is everything.
Can’t wait for the RW comments re Jesse’s life and death.

I voted for him in the Democratic primary in 1988. But instead, we got Gov. Dukakis.

Like so many progressives, the Rev. Jackson fell short of greatness because his ideas were too advanced for the general public at the time. In the Rev.’s case, of course, the issue of his race dominated his candidacy. Also, like so many others, personal issues were artificially inflated by opponents and the media damaging the messages from Rev. Jackson.

I feel fortunate to have lived in the times of Democrats such as Rev. Jackson, MLK, JFK, RFK and many others. While all of their goals may not have been achieved, they helped move the country and the world forward.
