Lately I've been wondering where Trump would run if the Democrats win the mid-terms and impeachment is inevitable.......

https://www.politico.eu/article/where-will-trump-go-if-he-quits-the-us/

Well, it seems that in 2020 Politico wondered the same thing and made a list of twelve places. Of the six places listed below, which place do you think would be most welcoming? Check the article for the answer (this could have changed since 2020).

Even if Trump's impeached, he's not getting convicted. Even if we get to say...52 seats in the Senate you're still talking about peeling off fifteen Republicans to vote for his removal. I could squint hard and perhaps see 5-6, but not fifteen.

One, they all love that gaudy gold gilt everything.

Two, Those countries love to straddle the line between the legit/respectable and the dark underworld.

Trump would fit right in.

He is just NOT the eastern Europe/Russia kind of guy.

First of all, Africa is not a country, it’s a continent made up of numerous nations.

Trump is not “running” anywhere- if he were to “take it on the lam” to avoid facing criminal charges, his assets would be frozen/seized.

The only countries that would accept him as a guest would be the Saudis/UAE or Russia under Putin.

But he’s not going anywhere, because the odds are in his favor that he will never face any federal charges, and will die before any state charges ever come to trial.

Trump's 2nd impeachment trial over his inciting the J-6 insurrection
was the FIRST presidential impeachment trial where ANY senators EVER
voted to convict a president from their own party!

(6 Republican senators voted to convict him, although it wasn't enough)

((How many might conclude, in a third trial
based on his more recent crimes, that
'we would be better off without him going into 2028'
is still an open question...))

1) He won't be convicted even IF he's impeached by the House.

2) I'm not even sure if a DEM House will be 100% in favor due to the lame duck status

3) I don't think he's going to serve til 2029... I think he'll claim total victory and quit to give Vance a 2028 head start.

Particularly if the GOP hold the senate or a 50/50 senate.

It would be better served just with hearings in the house, rather than the impeachment performance.

They're actually trying to discredit our House agenda by saying we're only going to do 24x7 impeachment proceedings. The less said about impeachment the better.

As noted by other posters, there's zero chance Trump would be convicted in the Senate. I think there's almost no chance he would even be impeached. And if we did it, it would be dumb.
