(a) since many scientists are always chasing grant $, someone like Epstein seemed to be a good source to cultivate

(b) someone I know calls academia “the last bastion of sexism”, so it’s not surprising that there are as many there as in politics, business, etc., who hate and exploit girls and women.

imho, we should NOT be censoring info from China (think TikTok), Russia (remembering that RT was banned years ago), or any other source.

It's unbelievably rare for anyone in power to volunteer info about their own crimes and mistakes. Part of healthy checks and balances has to include allowing free expression from those who by natural self-interest or otherwise are adverse to our government, because it's only from those adversaries that we're likely to find out if our own government is actually acting in our best interests or is instead engaging in misconduct and trying to keep it secret.

We need to stop attacking the messengers (including whistleblowers!) and start considering the possibility that some of their messages might contain important truths. (We don't have to accept such messages at face value, but we need to at least look at them and, if they seem important, investigate them instead of blocking them sight unseen.)
