Fulton country blows holes in the "affidavit" used to steal ballots.

Surprise surprise. The affidavit used to convince a judge to let the FBI steal the ballots is total BS.

Question I have, was the judge that signed off on this just that bad at their job that they took the government’s word for it, or are they MAGA?

Fulton Co elections expert: “In all 5 areas identified by ... the [search warrant] affidavit, there are a multitude of false or misleading statements or omissions. ... Once ... corrected, the affidavit loses any basis in reality.”

What say you, AJC? (they DO have some really good investigative reporters so I am hopeful an answer comes--at least an opinion piece with some limited information)

Government gave Affidavit to Judge, who gave it to his Law Clerk.

Law Clerk had no idea what the document was and either didn't exercise "due diligence" or didn't check for inconsistencies, errors, etc. and then couldn't make recommendations to the Judge. The Judge trusted the wrong person for accuracy.

I was a law clerk for a year after graduating law school and approving search warrants is not something a judge would leave to his law clerk in my opinion. The law clerks would often meet for lunch and talk about what they were doing and I have never heard of such a thing.

Generally this would be remedied by a suppression of evidence, but if the ultimate goal isn’t actually gathering evidence against anyone, but rather gathering information they couldn’t get legally, this remedy seems woefully inadequate. Someone with a more precise knowledge of Federal Criminal Procedure will have to help determine how tied her hands were, but if I remember correctly the review in granting a search warrant is limited to the information contained in the four corners of the sworn affidavit. One can see how this can be abused if convictions aren’t your ultimate goal. I think an issue we are going to face is that many of the illegal actions by the administration will not have an adequate remedy as some irreversible damage will already been done, e.g., the chilling of speech by going after perceived enemies without probable cause. If the administration and DOJ don’t discipline within ranks, qualified and absolute immunity for the various government officials will probably leave little disincentive for avoiding illegal acts and false statements. I’m not much more confident in the efficacy of the threat of internal review and discipline by FBIAA or the FBA.
