WSJ: Billionaires' Low Taxes Are Becoming A Problem For the Economy

When you've lost the Wall Street Journal..... The article goes on to say that tax avoidance is becoming not only an economic problem but a political one.

Listen up, Dems. Even the WSJ is recognizing that this can't continue. Tie all Rs to this topic at evry opportunity!

national debt.

The republicons who scream about debt and deficit, and mock "tax & spend" Democrats are nothing more than "borrow & spend" hypocrites who caused nearly all our debt.

And they want to steal our SS fund, because they damn sure don't want to pay enough taxes to cover their debt.

Name one popular Billionaire.

Bill Gates used to be, because of his philanthropy, but it is abundantly clear he is deep in the Epstein swamp, so F that guy.

Warren Buffet? But Buffet has been advocating for higher taxes on billionaires all along.

Musk, Theil, Leo, Epstein, Trump, Ellison, Euline, Bezos, Zuckerberg? These people are all despicable. Dems should have no trouble attacking them.

I think that is a sign that the Dems need to get LOUD about this. It is no longer just a "liberal" issue. Independents agree, and even Rs. That's a sign that it's time to push hard and put the Rs on the defense for once.

I know you're not suggesting that. But the good news is that I really believe that all we need is to make sure that the public believes that we are on the side of the regular people, not the billionaires. And that should be an easy case to make.

Particularly galling is that 2 of those big cuts happened when the economy was roaring and didn't need any stimulus.
So, they were not only economically harmful, but were wholly unnecessary.

it's that what we think is common knowledge is not. For the low info voters, this is probably news to them. We need to lather, rinse, repeat, over and over again. That's what the Rs do.

I think we inadequately pushed back against the Budh & Trump cuts.
The average person sees a buck & a half and the rich person get 2 grand. Somehow we failed to reduce the mass popularity of those "wonderful" tax cuts

When the economy is bad, they say we need tax cuts for rich people to stimulate the economy*.
When the economy is good, they say we need tax cuts for rich people because the big bad guvmint is spending too much.
So really, their whole shtick is about cutting taxes for rich people just to make the rich people richer, and commensurately make the working class poorer. And when we call for the rich people to pay more taxes, they scream "class warfare" at the top of their dirty lungs. The reality is that THEY are the ones committing class warfare every time they get a cut.

(*what we find out is that rich people don't spend their tax cuts; they invest in corporate stock buybacks to further enrich themselves and their other rich friends, so the economy doesn't get stimulated by spending.)
