after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate & destroy letters from the children

“I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.”

- 7 year old imprisoned by ICE for 70 days in a concentration camp in Texas.

Today, after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate letters from the children.

The truth is the enemy and must be stopped at all costs. Must be great to tell your family about your day at work confiscating paper and pencils from 7 year olds.

press to reprint. "Not enough fruit. My fruit is rotten. Same breakfast every day. There are bugs in my food. The water tastes weird." Waaa waaa waaa.

This story, to the best of my knowledge, is only once removed in the telling: A friend who was a pilot in the Navy then a commercial airline pilot said he had met a WW2 concentration camp survivor (decades ago). The man had scarring down his throat. He said the scarring came from drinking the very hot awful soup they had every day. He could see that the most nutrient rich part of the soup was at the bottom of the tall pots. He would drink down his soup before it cooled so he could get some of the more nutritious soup by getting back in line.

I truly fear these camps are getting ever-closer to being the same thing experienced at the camps 80+ years ago.
