What is this en.demo craticunderground website? is it legitimate?

https: //en.democraticund erground.org/100221021377

I broke it up so it won't go unless you fix the breaks.

When you are already signed in on the legitimate democraticunderground.org, the new page says you are signed out.

I place this in the General Discussion because its topic is political.

I am suspicious about this.

when you're looking at a DU url, the "democraticunderground.com" part is the important part. Putting something random in front of "democraticunderground.com" generally doesn't do anything -- you can try it yourself -- but I have sometimes seen search results resolving to individual DU pages with an unusual subdomain, like in the example you posted.

My understanding is that this behavior is not harmful, and is related to the default behavior of the Apache web server -- but that's about as much as I know. I do know that if you are sent to one of those pages by a search engine, you will appear to be signed out of DU. Therefore my recommendation would be that if you see a DU url that looks odd -- like "en.democraticunderground.com" you simply remove the "en" or replace it with "www" or "upload" (upload is an official DU subdomain) and that should get you to the page without any issues.

(Edited to add: In future please post questions like this in the DU Community Help forum -- General Discussion is not really the place for DU tech support. Thanks.)
