Hey, just thinking out loud here

Why is DHS spending $40+ BILLION DOLLARS on giant detention facilities from coast to coast if the plan is to deport people? Who, exactly, are they for?

You don’t have to fill a space in order to spend huge money on a facility and stocking it with equipment, food, and employees sitting around doing nothing.

See “Alligator Alcatraz” and the no-bid contracts.
