To President Obama: Nobody said it was going to be easy.
Sometimes the toughest decision is the best. The easy solution is usually the wrong decision.
Case in point is the faux "fiscal cliff" debate. It's easy to give in to the Republicans. Give them everything they want under the facade that we are only doing what we think is best for the country.
The tough decision is to stand up to the Republicans and fight for the poor and needy. That is what a real Democratic president would do.
It is easy to give the bully your apple, hoping he doesn't kick your ass when school is over.
It is tough to kick him in the nuts.
