I have zero doubt Republicans will pass legislation immediately as he has commanded and I mean that sincerely. They will very literally do anything he wants.

He has been acting as an official representative of the US at peace negotiations with Russia and Ukraine and other events.
He does not hold any official position in the US government and therefore has not had a security clearance or Senate confirmation.
