Why Armed Security Gaurds and Giving School Admins and Teachers Guns....

......Wont solve the problem like what happened in CT.

1.. Many schools already have local police outpost at the schools and yet kids still bring in guns.

and

2... Not every teacher, principal or administrator will actually be able to pull the trigger no matter the circumstance... it take a certian mindset to go hunt deer so it also takes a mindset to take another human life I dont care how threatened you feel.

In my old hometown outside of Seattle there is a local police stationed at all schools and last year they confiscated 50 guns.

The NRA is crazy.

1. What happens when some student pushes a teacher too far?

Most teachers are awesome - but you never know when you're going to get a nut in the basket who decides to play Dirty Harry with some freshman who's giving him lip.

People are flawed - people do kill people, that's why if you take their guns away, it will be harder for them to do so.

2. I don't think many people consider these proposals to be at all useful.

With the exception of a very few, probably nutty, people who don't get out much, nobody sane could suggest that this would work well as a universal solution to the problem.

It might, and I say this with the greatest caution, work in some very remote rural districts or schools, but I doubt that these schools are likely to ever be the victim of the senseless bloodshed we saw in Newtown.

As a universal idea, it's ridiculous.

But based on my recollections, armed teachers and administrators would have made some faculty meetings very "interesting."

They don't seem to have the issues you post about in their schools.

The next question coming out of these bullet-heads is, 'What is a matter with multitasking?'

.. at an unarmed suspect. The hit him with 15 and killed him.

Where did the other 75 rounds go?

Yeah.... armed cops are the answer? Sure.

Does anybody remember that there was a cop at Columbine. He couldn't get a clear shot, and when he did, he missed 4 times.
