I hate waking up to this fire hose of bs from Trump and his goons, every single day.

They're like this evil tag team wrestlers "Whose turn is it to do the most god-awful thing, today?"

Every last one of them.

NPR. Local NPR here in Chicago is very liberal.

I remember feeling optimistic when listening to the news when democrats were in power. I was very often disappointed that more wasn't being done.

But now it's just damn scary when the news comes on it's a horror show.

Grass roots blow back against propaganda from the right and from M$M collusion. We need more push back.

and report the truth, and hold those in power accountable. That type of journalism is pretty much dead in this country.

M$M has been sliding downhill since 2000. Al Gore could catch a wave from the press, and that allowed Nader unbridled room to undermine.

We have a corporate press that is beholden to their shareholders / owners / board / etc.

They are going to do what they need to do in order to make the most profit. It seems that the crazier and more controversial the news is (or the person that they are giving air time to is), the more eyes they get watching it and the more revenue it generates.

A logical, polite, honest discussion of issues will never generate the ratings that they seek.

..then tv goes to local weather then to you tube cuz they have more on the ball than cable news...esp with the Epstein files.. and the brits are really on top of it!

but the BEST news of the morning was about a woman who got arrested and booked in Vegas for abandoning her service dog ( a small doodle) and resisting arrest. YAY! LOCK HER UP!

I have had people tell me “just don’t read the news” , but I do want to stay informed to a certain extent. Trouble is, like stated above, it’s a constant firehose of Trump and his evil minions. So exhausting!

Where they show clips and then comment, and most of them from a more liberal slant.

I enjoyed it until this week, when they dug up an absolute MAGAt to temporarily replace Alyssa Farah Griffin (who's on maternity leave).

I don't know who she is, but she kept parroting about TSF, "He's not a racist...He's not a racist...He's not a racist," even when presented solid evidence that he is a racist (including the Lion King video featuring the Obamas).

Brainwashed pedo protector.

Tell us what the goons have done but spare me any shots of that FUCKING EVIL face. We can’t escape it — even on buildings now.

If there were a channel that committed to not showing shots of that ugly mug I would leave my TV on it all day.

every day i fantasize the headline i want to see as i dread the headlines i will see.

i've barely started my day and already
- kegsbreath gave a malevolent white "christian" speech hating on the "tolerant" left
- a 9 year old girl with a valid travel visa coming for a visit to Disney was put in a gulag
- krasnov is turning the nation's capital into a 3rd world monument to himself
- he's going to use my tax money, $10 billion of it, to promote the krasnov endless war board
- war with Iran?
- i mean what the fuck.

I think if you love this country and realize that you've been grateful to live in a democracy for as long as you have, you are especially sad to see it being destroyed. It hurts the heart. It hurts the mind, and it causes great emotional worry.

It's also so damn confusing and unbelievable that so many are simply standing around, doing nothing, and letting it happen.

So, we must keep fighting to keep what we have been privileged to have so that future generations enjoy the same. Knowing that we are up against an actual fight is overwhelming at times. But we must keep doing it!

What is equally disturbing is that he gets away with almost everything. The thirty=four felonies, child rape, sexual assault, tearing down our White House, using his executive powers as a weapon of hate, pardoning felons who attacked our government so they can continue to victimize our democracy...

I have loved this country, this democracy, for all of my seventy years, and now it's becoming everything I abhor, and it has all shattered in less than a year and a half. It has to stop. Now.
