There's A Very Freaky Explanation For ICE's Uncomfortable Interactions With Women

In the weeks following the deaths of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of federal agents in Minnesota, there have been — the moves of all parties slowed down, paused and rewound ad nauseum.

One detail in Good’s death in particular is something that has lingered in the minds of countless women (and those who love them) since: the video footage showing that in the seconds after the agent, , shot Good in the head, he referred to her as a “fucking bitch.”

And it’s that detail that seems to be a pretty accurate temperature read for how Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been reacting to women who are protesting and observing in Minnesota, as , executive director of and , a Minnesota-based gender equity organization, told HuffPost.

“We are seeing basically in the reports that are coming in that, it’s not just [Good] who he called a ‘fucking bitch,’” Peterson said. “That is now a popular refrain that ICE is using when encountering women protesters and folks. We’ve definitely gotten reports of that in an ongoing way.”

This has been running through my head all morning & I'm guessing the fact that she was not terrified of him is precisely why he murdered her.

They want to be important and be respected (and feared as a proxy even though that is actually different). And then this woman ignores them and their supposed control over her, with a whatever and a turning away. The cretin couldn't stand it. Rage.

I guess these goons figure, "If these 'fucking bitches' forget their place, we'll just hafta show 'em who's boss."

And let's not forget that Alex Pretti was murdered when he stepped between the goons and a "fucking bitch" whom they had violently shoved to the ground.

in many ways. It seems many who listen to his podcast with Tech-expert and semi-liberal Kara Swisher (also a feminist and Lesbian the latter of which will be significant in a second)--take great offense when I state that he is minimally the former and much more so the pro-MAGA/pro-INCEL or at least ANTI-Feminist that I simply will not tolerate. If you doubt me, read his writings on the extreme harm that feminists/liberal-progressives have done to young men and the need to protect the "manosphere." It is every bit the INCEL/MAGA MANOSPHERE position. Getting back to his work with Kara Swisher, I can only assume he does not feel similarly about her as he does heterosexual feminists in terms of their "great threat to heterosexual men and the 'MANOSPHERE"

I know many ignore this or are unaware (case in point, Nicole Wallace--who I adore-- on her "Best People" podcast), but you can paint makeup on the pig, but it is still a damned chauvinist-proINCEL PIG. I can only assume that Nicole is unaware of these OTHER writings, and given that she likewise interviewed Kara Swisher when her podcast began some time ago, it was natural that she would interview him too. (She does have young children and not a lot of people helping her with this secondary project, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.

So, all the Galloway fans who take umbrage at my assessment of him, do your homework and read the writings to which I refer. Then we can debate. But not before.

I think the first time I saw him arrogantly droning on in an MSNBC (MSthen) segment about how young (white) men are now a marginalized group that needs priority attention I had his number. He thought he was giving constructive criticism to the Democratic Party regarding VP Harris in her run for prez. Progressives seem to love him. I have to say I was a little taken aback when I saw Kara Swisher teaming up with him. I've been wondering If it's me that's crazy.

Thank goodness I have company. In season 1 of "White Lotus" Connie Briton playing a mother tells her daughter something like "be nice to your brother, it's a tough time for young white males" which was clearly intended for a chuckle. And I don't mean to diminish any group in need, but Galloway's ad hoc concern is off-putting to me. I heard him talk about masculinity and the importance of men needing to feel protective. Well, a lot of women need to feel protected FROM men, so how do you reconcile that, son?

end rant

sex with them, show them no interest. Likewise, resentment over career failure, while these same women (or others) supposedly succeed--ignoring, of course, all the men who succeed while they do not.

Yes, many of them resent women to the level of HATRED.

Not sure why you doubt that.

Why do ICE agents do what they do? Here is the complete text of a DU post by ????. I copied it, saved it, but did not save a link to the OP.

This is worth reading, if it must be deleted for breaking the rules I understand.

Do you agree that ICE agents are just normal everyday people that are trying to do their jobs in order to bring food to the family table and keep a roof over their heads?

No.

My father, after a failed semester in college, graduated from a police academy and served, at various times, on a couple of police forces. His experience (which he characterized as “making minimum wage plus a nickel to wear a shiny target right over my heart”) fueled this advice to me, which he gave when I was still a bit too young to understand the full ramifications.

“Son, I want you to remember two things: first, never trust a cop; second, do every damn thing they say. The badge attracts the kind of (sexually explicit epithet) who gets his jollies by making other people’s lives a living hell.”

That was in the mid-1980s, and it referred to police officers with half a year’s training, at one of the few times in American history when we got halfway serious about trying to rein in police abuses.

In 2002, in response to the September 11 attacks, ICE was created as a special police force to round up foreigners in the US. It had been a right-wing wish list item for over a decade beforehand, but civil liberties activists had, until then, managed to prevent Congress from making it happen. Thanks to anti-Islamic paranoia and a Bush administration which would go on to make torture official government policy, the civil liberties people lost the fight, and ICE was created.

And let us be perfectly blunt: from the very beginning, ICE was intended to be a white supremacist organization with no accountability and nearly infinite powers. By its very nature it was intended to attract exactly the kind of person my father tried to warn me about- the sadists, the bullies, the undercover Klansmen. They were restrained by one thing and one thing only- the need of their bosses and their political superiors to pretend that racism had nothing to do whatever with immigration policy.

Then came Trump, who made it both politically and socially acceptable to be openly white supremacist again.

Today, in attempts to hit the purge goals set by the Trump administration, new ICE recruits are going straight from signing the paperwork to the front lines. Many of them have been repeatedly rejected b police departments and military services for incompetence or bad attitudes. There is no background check. There is no training. There is, at most, a questionnaire in which the most important feature is not training in law enforcement or public safety, but rather loyalty to Donald John Trump.

This is a group of men with nigh absolute power, made up of people who have waited all their lives to have power so they can abuse it, backed by superiors who want to see violence, chaos, and fear. And their orders from the top are loud and clear: haul in as many brown people as possible, legal or not, foreigners or citizens, elderly or children, and make Examples of them. Create a situation so horrible that people fleeing brutal regimes or organized crime will fear the United States more than they fear drug lords or dictators.

These people were hired to be evil, and the people who apply are applying specifically for the opportunity to be evil.

People seeking an honest living do not join ICE.
