Moroun donates $1M to MAGA fund days before Trump's bridge threat

Matthew Moroun, whose family owns the Ambassador Bridge, gave $1 million to a political action committee that supports Republican President Donald Trump less than a month before Trump threatened to block the opening of a new, competing span between Detroit and Canada.

The $1 million receipt for the super PAC MAGA Inc. was revealed in a monthly campaign finance disclosure covering January and submitted to the Federal Election Commission on Friday night.

Brendan Fischer, director of strategic investigations for the nonprofit Campaign Legal Center, identified the receipt in a post on X.

"Wow," Fischer wrote. "New FEC reports show billionaire Matt Moroun gave Trump’s super PAC $1 million last month."

Since the SCOTUS Shady 6 has declared it's only ever bribery when the bag of cash is handed over in advance of the corrupt action. Afterwards, it's magically just a "reward for a job well done"

to see the legal technicalities of it going to a super PAC instead of directly to Trump.
