Open Texas primaries: more Dems fired up?

Remarkable when you consider that both parties have seriously contested Senate primaries in this fairly red state.

More Dems fired up?

More independent Texans opting to vote in the Dem primary given the state has open primaries?

Demoralized Republicans?

All of the above?

It's also possible repubs are crossing over to vote in our primary out of concern one candidate may be harder to beat in the general than the other.
