According to my husband, hockey fan extraordinaire, this is highly unlikely. They are all back with their teams and have games the next day. We shall see, but if they allow themselves to be used this way they are going to alienate many fans.

Even if some of the team are trumpers I would think they would rather be partying than attending a SOTU.

I also read that there is concern about where they could seat them all.
