TX-SEN: Progressive group backs Talarico in Texas Senate race
A prominent progressive group announced on Tuesday that it’s backing state Rep. James Talarico (D) in the Democratic primary for Texas Senate, with the contest for Sen. John Cornyn’s (R) seat one week away.
“We’re endorsing @JamesTalarico for TX Senate,” the Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC) said in a post on the social platform X.
“He has risen to national prominence by consistently grounding his candidacy in a clear vision: fight for working people, hold corporations accountable, and materially improve people’s lives,” the group added.
The PCCC is the latest high-profile group to endorse the Texas state lawmaker, who’s running against Rep. Jasmine Crockett for the Democratic nod in The Lone Star State’s March 3 primary.
