What SOTU lacked was policy proposals
Every other SOTU I have seen had token introductions of guests, a list of past accomplishments, followed by legislative proposals for the following year that the administration would be sending to Congress.
This one was loaded with lies and complete fabrications about past accomplishments, racial attacks on immigrants, a parade of heroes and victims that took up about 2/3 of the speech, attacks on Democrats and except for urging the passing of the SAVE Act, which he mischaracterized as a "voter ID" law and some lip service about interest rates, but no policy proposals or proposed legislation whatsoever that he would send to Congress to solve the problems of inflation or the diminishing economy - None!
His only promises for the next year were to keep pressing on deportation by attacking immigrants as criminals (and racially as he did with Somalis) and to stop people from voting in November.
So, aside from awarding a bunch of medals, paying tribute to Charlie Kirk and calling Democrats crazy, what did he propose to help people who are struggling with this economy? Nothing.
