..."On Feb. 26, Parton announced a new partnership with East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville to rename the nonprofit pediatric health care system serving the East Tennessee region in her honor. The hospital is now known as Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital.

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital (formerly East Tennessee Children’s Hospital) has provided pediatric care in the region for nearly 90 years. And in this “bold new era” of the hospital, it will continue to look after the well-being of children and families through “compassion, innovation and access.”

“This is more than a name change,” Matt Schaefer, President and CEO of Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital, said in a statement. “With Dolly’s support, we are strengthening our mission to deliver world-class pediatric care to families, ensuring every child who walks through our doors receives the treatment they deserve.”
