When a Democratic Pro-Women group "Sounds the Alarm" against a man...

How can we possibly ignore that warning?

SOUND THE ALARM: Graham Platner Says Sexual Assault Victims Should “Take Some Responsibility” in Now-Deleted Reddit Posts

https://emilyslist.org/sound-the-alarm/sound-the-alarm-graham-platner-says-sexual-assault-victims-should-take-some-responsibility-in-now-deleted-reddit-posts/

"Maine U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner made disturbing comments about sexual assault victims in Reddit posts that were deleted shortly before he launched his campaign — saying assault victims should “just take some responsibility for themselves” to avoid attacks and “act like an adult for f–cks sake.” He said people should avoid alcohol so they don’t end up in a “compromising situation” and downplayed the challenges service members face in reporting sexual assault."

EMILYs List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics, works to elect Democratic pro-choice women up and down the ballot and across the country with a goal of fighting for our rights and our communities. Over 40 years, EMILYs List has raised nearly $950 million to help Democratic women win competitive elections by recruiting and training candidates, supporting and helping build strong campaigns, researching the issues that impact women and families, running one of the most impactful independent expenditure operations for Democrats, and turning out women voters to the polls.

Only men who are guilty of sexual assault or are capable of it would say such a thing. I take it as a confession, not an observation or advice.

But report even less than females? Who is the creature on the front stage for the republican party? This creature is right up trump's alley. If he loses this race, probably ambassador or some shit somewhere.

so I just assumed Platner was a republican, but it turns out he is a Democrat running against Janet Mills in the primary. Apparently a "new kind of Democrat".

His history on social media has been very problematic. He has been trying to clean up his many controversial posts, but it appears people already know who and what he is. Maybe he should stick to farming oysters.

It wouldn't be the first time that a republican tried to disguise him/herself as a Democrat.

“In today’s current climate, when every whisper of a misplaced hand brings down a feature length film, anyone who actually thinks the military is purposefully covering up rape to save the career of some god damn [captain], is clearly both an idiot and junior enough in rank or life experience to think it matters,” he wrote on Reddit about sexual assault in the military.

“Rape is a real thing,” he wrote in another post. “If you’re so worried about it to buy Kevlar underwear you’d think you might not get blacked out f----d up around people you aren’t comfortable with.”

“How about people just take some responsibility for themselves and not get so f----d up they wind up having sex with someone they don’t mean to?” Platner asked in reply. “Men and women, you make a choice to consume enough of a substance to lose your self control. So if you don’t want to be in a comprising situation, act like an adult for f---s sake.”

“Every current student I go to school with is convinced all we did in the infantry is rape everyone, because they once watched ‘invisible war,’” a reference to a 2012 documentary about sexual assault in the military. “Now, since the grunts has no women, this is obviously untrue. Plus, (since living in DC) all you need to do is make ONE phone call and negate any a--hat who pretends he’s a unit commander. So sack the f--- up.”

Putting aside the victim blaming for a second (which is hard to do, believe me), this is only a FRACTION of rape.

Most women are raped while they are sober by people they were taught to trust.

and given that Collins is female she will use these to great effect, it is his dismissal of rural people that will kill him in the general election. He literally calls rural people racist and stupid in what is the most rural state in the nation. Just wait till Collins airs ads about those statements (made only 7 to 8 years ago)

He sounds just like Pete Hegseth. Drug and date rape, of course, that’s the woman’s fault, she consumed a beverage that you slip your drugs into before you slip and dip.

Yeah, we know your type. Drugging women so you can rape them without their knowledge, much less their consent.
