As war with Iran starts, keep an eye out for this propaganda technique.
Whether it be performed by knowing deceivers or mere dimwits, we will be seeing a lot of the following: conflating GOAL with PLAN, a la "regime change" or "destroying nuclear program" or "safer region" or "freedom"
A goal is not a plan. But when put on the spot to justify their actions, i.e. "why are you doing X?" or "what is your fucking plan?", much babble will be generated which is just an enumeration of goals.
Don't put up with that. Not on social media, not in real life, not from your infotainment sources. Shut it down, or shut it off.
When people yammer about something which is really a goal and not a plan, ask "how?" Demand explanations of how. And keep drilling down with "how?" elaborations like a small kid asking incessant strings of "why?"
