On the Beach....
If you saw that movie back in the early sixties you have probably never forgotten the
terrifying ending and the feelings that you experienced. Recent events have certainly stirred them again.
The doomsday clock was recently moved to the closest it's ever been to midnight. And that was before the new Iranian war. Does anyone believe that if Israel feels it's existence is threatened at some point that it will hesitate to use a nuclear weapon? I don't. It will probably come down to how much punishment Iran's ballistic attacks can cause before they run out of missiles, or they are destroyed by our bombing.
China has already stated that if Israel uses a nuclear weapon they will be wiped off the map. Once one is used all bets are off.
For quite a few years now, since a bout with cancer, I've hoarded enough drugs of various descriptions for pain, sleep etc to make sure I can ease on out if the situation requires it. Since many of those drugs are available here in Mexico I've increased my supply. Mexico would probably not suffer direct nuclear attacks, but I do not intend for my family to endure the ravages of a post nuclear world. My wife agrees.
Cast any aspersions you wish about my beliefs here, but if you can look at the current situation honestly and make a case for me being crazy, wrong, misguided etc. Go ahead. I enjoy life and hope things will work out, but we have lived on the precipice for many years and the odds have stacked up.
Honestly, I carry a slim hope that all the verified events over the past fifty years of UFO's over nuclear facilities in the US and the former Soviet Union where nuclear launch codes were frozen, or in one case activated are true. Maybe the aliens have enough sense the save this planet.
