"Was negotiations by Kusher and Witkoff a ruse? Netanyahu just said this has been planned for months."

Kushner and Witkoff, real estate developers, negotiating world events. No state department, no ambassadors, or any other career diplomats involved. No one, and I mean no one, will ever trust the Trump regime, in any negotiations. So why even bother?

Yes it was a ruse as part of the broader "Operation Epstein" David__77 20 hrs ago #1
If negotiations were serious, you would not send Witkoff and Kushner. Sneederbunk 20 hrs ago #2

Military operations take months or weeks of preparations. No country sits around and waits for negotiations to succeed or fail, then start planning military ops. That happens concurrently. Military starts planning even before negotiations even officially start do to the long lead time thats generally needed. Now, none of this means the negotiations themselves weren't done with no real attempt at actually accomplishing anything, just that military planning happening despite ongoing negotiations occurring is not unusual.

Iran obviously did not give Kushner the oil, land, cash the Trump Crime Syndicate wants.

Neither of these men officially work for or represent the United States government.

Neither are diplomats. Before Trump's presidency Kushner was a soon to go broke real estate mogul and slum lord. Wilcoff was a corrupt NYC real estate person.

Not to mention, both are Jewish. Kushner and his family were long term friends of Netanyahu. The story of Netanyahu staying at the Kushner home for one US visit was well publicized. This could not have looked neutral to Iran. Edited to note that Wendy Sherman, a top negotiator in 2015 was Jewish, but first and foremost she was a career diplomat and genuinely worked to get needed agreements.

Their lists of demands was well beyond the 2015 agreement that was extremely hard to get and could not be recommitted to in the Biden years as Trump shattered the very hard to win trust that made 2015 possible.

Not to mention, any comparison to the talented team that worked painstakingly to get a framework, then an interim deal than the deal shows this did not have the depth from bottom to top of the Obama team. At the top, both Kerry and Moniz were exceptional people as well as diplomats..
