if he wanted to - what's the point of being Commander in Chief if you can arrange for your offspring to do their parts to serve their country honorably. Come to think about it, Donnie Jr., Eric, and Jared aren't too tall- when are they going to enlist?

LBJ made sure both of his son's in law were sent to combat in Vietnam. At least he put his money where his mouth was. One of his daughters got divorced after her husband returned home.a

One was killed in that war, and the surviving ones also served in WWII. Roosevelt himself wanted to sign up, but age and health issues kept him out. All of Franklin Roosevelt's sons served in WWII.
