Make this retroactive to 11-7-2012.
The Majority of American voters have made it clear what they expect from elected officials, the GOP Congress continues to represent less than 1% of the population in the USA! They abandon their duties, and when they are present they do not accomplish what the majority has said they want. They are injurious to the people of the USA, and they abuse their positions and their misconduct is egregious. IMPEACH the GOP CONGRESS, RETROACTIVELY WITH HOLD THEIR PAY and BENEFITS.

(3,333 posts)The "GOP Congress" cannot be impeached.
One should have a working knowledge of the constitution before one embarrasses themselves with such a petition in a public forum.

The fact that he was pretty rightwing doesn't affect the simple truth of this.

I say go even further. Issue layoff notices to the lot of them. Lay off their staffs, cut their medical benefits and pensions. And chain the doors shut. You know, the same shit they've allowed to happen to the rest of us for the last 40 years or so.
I'm not heartless though. I'd let them collect unemployment benefits for about 6 months, cut them off after that, and maybe in a few months, they'll be ready to work.

A little tongue-in-cheek references as to how it's supposed to work, vs how it's applied anymore. It may as well be non-existent.
As for how government works, I've ran for Congress before, managed several campaigns, and was politically active since the '60's.

(20,600 posts)They have caused enough damage and almost have destroyed this great country. They are traitors to the nation and seem intent on the destruction of America with their ridiculous and insane policies. How else can one look at what they have stood for in the recent past and come to any other possible conclusion?
