Pain.at the pump coming to a gas station near you

Crude oil up around $5.50 or 8%. It will get worse if the Strait of Hormuz isn't opened up soon.

I wonder how sh!t for brains and the drunk war secretary will pin this on Biden.

Apparently, natural gas is also affected. 20% of the world supply is shipped through there. Vinca 20 hrs ago #2

but we will see how things go over the next couple of weeks. I'm not particularly worried about it. In fact, my gas has gone down $0.07 per gallon since Saturday. And, as always, switching away from Winter blends has an affect...even though it really shouldn't.

Many said we would have $100 oil today. Brent crude is $78 and WTI crude is $71 today.

Surprised to hear gas went down near you.
It was holding steady at $2.899 for a few weeks. Was $3.049 this morning.
And, it went up a dime to get to $2.899.
So, we haven't seen a price drop in a couple months.

... and times when it has been unaffordable.

For a few years when I was a young man I could fill the tank of my little Toyota for less than an hour's wages.

I greatly abused that privilege, driving all over the Western United States and the Northern border regions of Mexico.

The price of gas doesn't matter to me now but I'm not driving more. I figure I've burned more than my fair share.

In a better world we'd be rebuilding our cities, turning them into attractive affordable places where car ownership was unnecessary and most people wouldn't have to worry about the price of gasoline.
