So, gas at $5.00/gal?

Get your child molesting motherfucker, “I did that” decals ready, MAGATS.

Global crude prices continued to surge on Tuesday on worries the tensions could disrupt oil infrastructure and push up fuel prices, adding inflationary risks. An Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander said the Strait of Hormuz — the world's most vital transit route for crude oil — is closed and that Iran would set ablaze ships attempting the route, Reuters reported, citing Iranian media.

Brent crude popped 8% along with West Texas Intermediate futures.

weapons of mass destruction, evil people, blah, blah, blah.

The conservative base sounds like they've drank a case of cheap beer and a quart of bottom shelf tequila.

Like a bar room drunk, they've got no idea what happens next after they punch the hornet's nest. They're going to wake up tomorrow in a pool of their own puke, wondering where the bee stings came from.

It used to be a refinery in Alabama went down for maintenance and it was a 50 cent increase immediately before any gas could have come from that refinery.

Now we have cut off 20% of world supply and it's up about 5 cents in my area....

Maybe some Epstein clients in the oil industry ?

He asked the oil industry for billions to get him elected. They didn’t pay cash—instead they kept gas prices low NO MATTER WHAT, and he has systematically taken away all regulations for emissions, etc.

Quid pro quo.

Leave us in a better position to weather this storm.

Idiots. US oil and gas will be exported to sell to the highest bidder and domestic supply will go down and prices will go up (for fuel and electricity). Which mean more inflation is on the horizon. It also pisses off our former allies because they are suffering due to these incompetent actions.

The longer we need to continue to bomb Iran to slow down attacks the more apparent the failure of the Trump administration and Israeli intelligence to properly assess the situation.

We have a 40 mpg hybrid that we use for all of our day to day driving, my truck only leaves the garage when it's required for hauling something. So yeah, send the price of gasoline skyrocketing and let the MAGATs scream.

On that note I've been to many other countries around the world and very very few have gasoline as cheap as us. For instance, the current price of gasoline in Australia is $4.22 per gallon, and in New Zealand it's $6.00 per gallon. For the most part all you see are smaller economical vehicles with the exception being where a larger vehicle is actually needed.

It's insane (and ultimately bad for Mother Earth) that we equate cheap gasoline to a good economy.

I just don't see many politicians here campaign on raising gas taxes a couple dollars a gallon.

Gasoline is about $3.60/gallon. Interestingly, Diesel fuel is less expensive than regular unleaded by about $0.15 per liter .

Yes, it's already going up.
Nothing rationalizes a $5 prediction.
North America is a net exporter, so Middle Eastern oil isn't needed here.
And, while it's a global market, direct purchase deals (ahead of markets) are made all the time.
Plus, the major US refiners also generate a substantial fraction of the crude used, so there is vertical integration.
As those refiners make money on both ends, they could raise gas prices. So, predicting an increase is logical.
A 90% increase at the pump is not

There is never anything completely rational about the markets, so that variable is baked in to the historical data. Thereby, not relevant to any prediction.
Your prediction makes no sense & lecturing on things everyone already knows doesn't change the flaw in the logic.

Because it’s looking mighty flawed right about now.

U.S. equities tumbled on Tuesday, undoing a Monday equity comeback, as oil prices spiked again and traders began to worry the U.S.-Iran conflict could drag on longer than anticipated.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 1,033 points, or 2.1%. The S&P 500 slipped 1.9%, while the Nasdaq Composite was down 2%.

Brent crude oil, the international benchmark, topped $84 a barrel, up 8% Tuesday following a 6% spike Monday. WTI crude jumped 8% to above $77 a barrel after a 6% jump as well on Monday.

You better check your math.

$2.49 to $2.67 is just a hair over 7%, not "almost 20%"
