3. Let me answer one of Trump's points ... I have done election protection stuff for years.

Voters do not need to show proof of Citizenship because if you are a registered voter you
have to be a U.S. Citizen. Trump is trying to sell his lie that illegal immigrants are voting in
our elections.

4. What's most nefarious about this to me...

...is that he's hoping to catch voters off guard, the ones who never pay attention and wait until the last minute to do everything, who may not have a copy of their birth certificate to prove citizenship, so they can't register or vote.

And, obviously, all of it does not fall under the John Roberts "You are no longer Donald Trump, you are now Jesus Christ, just more orange" benediction.

The president is not supposed to be the puppet master of elections.

But if people are allowed to vote and Dems pick up seats, it's "Hello Impeachment #3."

Trump's wild ride across our Democracy will start to see the brakes being pumped. He knows it. And instead of adjusting his strategy to get ALL of Congress and the American people on board, he's just doubling and tripling down on everything and attempting to silence dissent along the way.

6. Iirc, years ago (2011) Wisconsin governor Scott Walker and the Rethug majority not only passed a

voter ID law but shut down a number of DMV offices at the same time, making it harder for people who lacked the necessary IDs to get them.
