We went proactively in a defensive way to prevent them from inflicting higher damage. Had we not done so, there would have been hearings on Capitol Hill about how we knew that this was going to happen and we didn’t act preemptively to prevent more casualties and more loss of life.

In which the sitting Secretary of State of the United States of America admits that at 6 American soldiers have been killed and 18 seriously wounded because Israel decided to strike Iran and forced our hand.

...it was an admission at all--but a made up story that they got together and decided would sell better to the American people after six service members died--something they did not really anticipate. It looks like clearly both Israel and Saudi Arabia had been lobbying the U.S. to strike Iran for months. And it is no mistake that our carriers moved so quickly to be in the region--the USS Gerald R. Ford coming all the way from Venezuela.
