Marjorie Taylor Greene says it best and makes more sense than the mealy-mouthed opposition. Yeah, I know we arent supposed to say anything bad about those in our movement but Jesus, this is what WE should be doing. Every fucking Day.

(93,470 posts)I want to ask a serious question: what's on his mind? What is his mental state?
If he doesn't think he's going to heaven, and he's toward the end of his life, how does that pan out for the rest of us when we have a president who is convinced he's not going to heaven? What is happening to the man that I supported?
If he doesn't think he's going to heaven, what does that mean for his decision-making?
He's said he may put troops on the ground and he's gone from a 'might take a few days war' to 'it could go on for weeks.'
What is happening to the man I supported? To the man who denounced what happened in Iraq, the man who said 'no more foreign wars, no regime change.'
I think it's time to rip the band-aid off and have a serious conversation about what the f*** is happening to this country.

(236 posts)Diddling Donny would hang on to power if all that was left were his hair follicles. He's spent decades ruining the lives of millions so he could stay out of jail. His Evil Prince is keeping him alive as part of his Faustian Bargain, IMO. He hasn't run out of Evil Juice just yet. His eternal Handler still has a grip on his balls.

A long time co-worker-Gone for what he said about a political figure.
Facebook does get monitored and you can be singled out for what is posted there, which is why I don't.
That being said, I do at times skim and read a few things but never post.
And this post was interesting .... MTG preaching out the truth. Yes, she did.
Now, will she still vote on his agenda? Probability is high she will.
She will not walk this facebook talk if history is any prediction. Of course, one can hope but nahhh; I don't think it likely. Do you?

LinkedIn is a different type of hell and almost a necessity when job searching. I think I hate it even more than Facebook because it pretends like its something its not.
I wont post anything on either site.

(15,302 posts)Rumors is she's running for Senate, so my guess is she tacking to "I'm a reasonable old school conservative who quit because I saw the light, hallelujah" to set her apart from MAGA, and not have a recent voting record to hang around her neck.
She did have some edumacation (Degree in Business) and a certain sly mean girl cleverness, so I'm sure she could fake it for a while if it is worth her while. She's still all into Gawd, Guns, and Protect the Babies identity virtue signalling though.

(17,430 posts)First off, what in the FUCK is Kelly wearing? Some peekaboo dress to show off her boobs? And she expects to be taken seriously???!!! Sorry, but the "old" in me is coming out.
MTG is making sense. I still don't trust her, but as long as she's benefitting our side, I say more power to her. I wish the clip had included Kelly's response to MTG. I was curious what she (Kelly) would have said.

(2,630 posts)I'm not sure what MTG's strategy is. But if she thinks she can emerge as the leader of "the true MAGA base", maybe we have to re calibrate. My view has been that MAGA was a cult forever loyal to Trump. Nut we see a major split from Trump on this issue. It does seem that both on the issue of Epstein disclosure and "no new wars", some part of the hard core "Trump base" is breaking off.
I don't think that is enough to win anything, but it is enough to cause the "mainstream GOP" to lose some races they expect to win.

(52,988 posts)Not only is she on the right side of history for a change, but that actually sounded reasonable and sane. Until her break from Trump, she always sounded unhinged and whacky. I never expected anything like this from her. I wonder if her crazy phase was all performance.

BaronChocula
(4,374 posts)Some people are capable of change. I used Liz Cheney as an example here once. I'm sure a mere 10 years ago she never imagined she would endorse a Democratic presidential candidate. Granted, I still don't care for her given the damage she helped sow, but I do give her credit.

(8,940 posts)I agree with her statements about the state of the Trump administration...liars the whole lot of them. Liars, who don't seem to give a damn about the Constitution and the rule of law.
They know Trump is fading fast, and they are using him for whatever their agenda is.
There's an old Pennsylvania Dutch saying, "we get too soon old and too late smart".
I'm glad to see a little bit of wokeness poking through in her statements about Trump and our current government, but I suspect she still has a lot of dumb ass right wing stupid still circulating around in what passes for her consciousness.
BaronChocula
(4,374 posts)I never heard that expression, but boy do I miss Lebanon bologna.
I think some of their wisdom and practicality may have come from Pennsylvania Dutch culture. I wish that wisdom was a little more universal among Pennsylvanians these days. Talk about "too late smart."

I think we're going to see a ton of this - especially from younger republicans who know they have to cut bait and run from the OG's who have made a mess of their party (even more so than usual, I would add).
MTG will be running for office again - bet.

2) the context of 'going to heaven' or not, or how that factors into decisions, is less credible from people who are widely considered to be "godless atheists" ; stating it this way works better for MTG than for most Democrats. (it may not be fair, but the reich-wing does tend to broad-brush us ... and indeed many are avowed atheists, so it is by far NOT the most ridiculous caricature the opposition has come up with.)
