Something from childhood analogous to the 2026 Texas Democratic Primary

When I was in 7th Grade in a Catholic grammer school in the Chicago suburbs, a letter was sent to the parents telling them NOT to let your kids watch the ABC comedy "Soap" because Billy Crystal's character Jody was openly gay. Of course when were told NOT to watch the show, WE ALL DID! Drawing attention to it had the opposite effect.

When Trump's CBS sycophant network pull James Talarico's appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, people flocked to youtube to see it.

Do you think this helped Talarico defeat Crockett?

By drawing attention to Talarico, FCC chair Brendan Carr and CBS may have actually helped him win.

Somebody (Google Earth) took aerial photos of Streisand’s Malibu home. She sued to get the photo removed, and suddenly millions of people were looking at the photos, where there was little interest before.

She lost the suit.
