my (not going to happen) fantasy--- jasmine crockett for speaker of the house

step 1) dems take back the house
step 2) since theres no requirement for the speaker to be a house member,the dems select her for speaker

(and yes i realize this wont happen,like i said its a fantasy)

If Speaker Mike manages to lose his gavel BEFORE the midterms, I say let's do some crazy shit like make Jasmine or AOC Speaker as a kind if trial run.
It's not like we're NOT gonna be back here next January, and if they suck at it between now and then, picking someone else isn't gonna be a deal breaker...but if they DONT, it provides a seamless transition into the next Congress, with very clear goals and marching orders to the party always in 'disarray'...
It also opens a leadership opportunity (or more than one) to the ones who would otherwise be required to wait their turn, or be branded as party 'upstarts'.

Just my 2 cents.
