The families of U.S. service members killed in Donald Trumps war against Iran have gone public with tributes after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth raged about coverage of their deaths making the president look bad.
Sgt. Declan Coady, of Iowa, was the youngest of the six soldiers killed at just 20 years old, and his sister, Kiera, tearfully told reporters he was just two months shy of turning 21.
Its hard to say anything because those that dont know him will just know him as another person that died in combat and their lives will go on, she said, adding that it still didnt feel real.
I just remember all of our conversations about what he was going to do when he came back, she said, calling the night when the family learned of his death one of the worst nights of our lives.

(8,445 posts)Yes, when someone joins the military, they are saying they will DIE FOR OUR country. And if the choice to have them die for their country ever comes up it DAMN WELL needs to be justified. If it's not, then the power whores may as well be the ones killing our service members. Our government should do no less and probably do even more (like exhaust all options of diplomacy for example). ONLY THEN should we consider sacrificing our service members. Not to mention the dead innocent Iranian people, but I know the whores running the government give even less shit about them.
