Some Trumpists actually oppose the Mullin nomination for DHS, and it's for the absolutely dumbest reason ever.

It's because Mullin supposedly once admitted that he gave a hug to the Capitol police officer who had to shoot Ashli Babbitt after Babbitt attempted to forcibly break into a room full of evacuated Congress members, and supposed told him that he did what he needed to do.

I mean, I don't doubt it. By the looks of the pictures from January 6th and how scared Mullin was on that day, he probably should have given a hug to each and every officer on duty that day.

Don't get me wrong--Mullin is still an unqualified asshat and in no way, shape or form does he deserve to be confirmed to head DHS.

But it still is funny the types of purity tests some people create.
