So what the hell is up with Hegseth?

What is up with this guy?

He hides just under the covers of needing attention. He is "PLAYING" war, illegally, and just loves blowing shit up and sinking ships. He's depleting our military reserves at a record rate. It is to where it's starting to become an issue. And of course, guess who pays to replace the warheads, other military shit? We do. His background was a co-host on FAUX? He's gotta go.

I actually think they are trying to bankrupt our country. In the meanwhile, gas prices are higher than they were when Biden left office. Yeah, these losers are true to their word, aren't they? Why anyone would ever want to vote republican is insane. This administration is costing EVERYONE much more. Why would anyone support this. At this rate, this country will collapse within the next two years. The words, treason, corruption, impeachment, resignation sure come to mind lately.

And here's more proof

hard to recognize a distinct difference in strategy right now--especially given Hegseth's obsession with "Christian Nationalist" religious views and the sheer number of complaints from military NCOs about their commanders lecturing them on Revelations and Christian Nationalism. (yes, real...Google if you are not aware of this. Too hard for me now on an IPhone, sorry).

He served in a combat zone but apparently never saw real, sustained combat.

Hegseth served in the Army National Guard after graduating from Princeton, and he did deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was awarded a Bronze Star and a Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), having served in civil-affairs operations and as an adviser in Afghanistan.

But let’s be clear: Hegseth was not a front-line leader of combat troops under sustained fire. He did not command an infantry company in protracted combat or lead exhausted soldiers through night patrols and firefights.

He served honorably — but his service is not what he markets. What he sells is the image of the modern American warrior as loud, aggressive, and built for Instagram, not endurance or humility.

It’s a dangerous distortion. And it shows.

He's terribly insecure and he's overcompensating because he knows he's in charge of real soldiers, including women, who are much tougher than he will ever be, who have seen real combat. Those people don't brag about their service. Most of us know people who have served in wars that don't talk about it at all, let alone brag about how tough they were. Kegbreath isn't tough and he knows it.

Steroidal behavior. Almost no question in my mind. I’ve treated a whole bunch of people over the years who have been either medicinally prescribed or self-administered these substances.

I once treated this little old man who was prescribed steroids by his doc and the family had to hire a guy to stay with him wherever he went because he, at 5’4” would walk up to huge men and try to pick fights with them. The companion would defuse the issue, generally successfully. Can’t make this stuff up.

13. MaddowBlog-Pentagon's Hegseth slams journalists for emphasizing U.S. troop deaths in Iran war

The Trump administration is still trying to figure out how to talk about service members’ fatalities — and its efforts are not going well.

https://www.ms.now/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/pentagons-hegseth-slams-journalists-for-emphasizing-u-s-troop-deaths-in-iran-war

The comments generated immediate criticism for their apparent callousness, but that didn’t stop Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth from making matters worse. With regard to weapons that killed American service members abroad, the former Fox News host said Monday: “Every once in a while, you might have a squirter that makes its way through.”

On Wednesday, the Pentagon chief kept going. The New Republic reported:

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took time from his Wednesday briefing to complain about the media coverage of President Donald Trump’s unauthorized war on Iran.

‘When a few drones get through or tragic things happen, it’s front-page news,’ Hegseth said. ‘I get it — the press only wants to make the president look bad, but try for once to report the reality.’

In other words, the beleaguered secretary believes that independent news organizations covered the war deaths of American service members not because the fatalities were important, but as part of a plot on the part of journalists to undermine the president......

Soon after, during a White House press briefing, a reporter asked press secretary Karoline Leavitt: “Is it the position of this administration that the press should not prominently cover the deaths of U.S. service members?”

The president’s chief spokesperson replied that the Republican administration expects journalists to “report on the success” of the mission. Leavitt added that she believes it’s “a fact” that the nation’s free press “does only want to make the president look bad.”

The White House’s focus, in other words, isn’t solely on a foreign war. Closer to home, it’s also about pushing a falsehood about independent news organizations that prioritize coverage of fallen American soldiers.
