Couple things rattling around in my brain this A.M.:

First of all, if I or any other male whom I know were accused of 1/50 of the things of which he has been accused, I for one would have had my license to practice suspended pending an investigation by the State Board of Examiners and the State Police. I would have been deposed countless times and sued by probably 1/2 of the people whom I had “allegedly” assaulted , my name would be in the paper on the front page above the fold in the metropolitan section and I would be professionally and personally ruined for life. Without question.

I have spent a career in rooms with females unaccompanied, and not once has anyone ever said that I overstepped my ethical and professional bounds. And yes, I realize that there was a risk in that, but that is how dentistry was practiced for decades. My rule always was nothing lower than the middle of the throat. If anything dropped from the mouth onto the patient. I would step back two steps and ask the patient to retrieve it or if the assistant were present, have her retrieve it. I would never touch a patient’s shoulder entering or leaving a room and if I shook hands it would only be for a brief moment and no sensual-soft touching. I probably had well over 150,000 encounters with female patients and never did a moment occur which was of concern after the fact.

Every time this guy comes within five fathoms of a female, something bad happens, so the word “alleged“ is unnecessary in this regard. He. Did. It.

And one more thing: if he were a patient of mine and had arrived today looking as he presently does compared to his physical appearance six months ago, I would tell him and his spouse that he needed a thorough medical checkup because something is very very wrong. (I believe that that geriatric physical therapist who is all over the Intertubes saying that Orangina is very unwell and why is right on the money). His deterioration is proceeding at an exponential pace. Just look at his scalp and hair as well as all the other signs others have noted.

Stay tuned.

1. Oh, but you are definitely a gentleman. And obviously respect women.

There’s not enough of that attitude going around right now. It seems to be hate women and love violence now. I’m only glad that I’m really old and won’t have to see the repercussions of all this. But good job, you

I've never been pestered by a male dentist (but they've all been female lately), although there probably are a few bad eggs out there, as in every profession. In recent years at least, most professions punish that sort of bad behavior. But if you're rich enough and well-connected enough you still can get away with pretty much anything.

The one thing Trump can't cheat is death, but his deterioration has been noted many times and still he lives on. People can drag themselves around suffering from the chronic ailments of old age for a very long time. He has the best medical care available, and the doctors will keep his rotting husk technically alive as long as possible - unless whatever he's got goes from chronic to acute, or a sudden cardiovascular problem takes care of the problem. Soon, I hope. Today works for me.

4. If we could wind back the clock, 2016 would be better. Or that horrible night when Fred and Mary Ann did it.

3. Given his mental deteriorization, would you have refused to treat him until he had been examined?

As a medical professional, I would be worried about a patient who was obviously unable to make rational decisions, and could be delusional or even violent.

Unless someone is medically threatened by a specific procedure we generally do the procedure. For example: if we are to extract a tooth or teeth and the patient’s blood pressure is inordinately high, we won’t do it unless the patient is in agony or severely threatened by infection. Then we weigh risks vs benefits.

But if someone comes in and needs a filling and looks like he or she is death warmed over but is otherwise ok, we will do the procedure and insist for the patient’s own good for him or her to go to the doctor.

Bleeding and airway are critical of course.

I retired from the Army in 1994, called back to active duty, released in 1995.

I had spent all my career in troop assignments with a few assignments where the organization was half-and-half military-civilian.

My last assignment was as a Directorate Chief in the Pentagon with a heavily-civilian workforce, including a number of young women.

One of my first tasks after about four months there was to award medals to some of the military and civilians. During the ceremony, an aide reads the award citation and I then pinned the medal on the recipient's chest. I had never pinned a medal on a female's chest and was really worried about it. I mean, REALLY, REALLY worried about it. Wife could tell something was bothering me, she asked, I explained, she said "Just hand it to them."

So I told my secretary what I would do -- pin it on the men, hand it to the ladies -- because I knew she would spread the word.

Ceremony went off without a hitch, though I noticed all the women receiving a medal did their best to keep a straight face.

I did that for every awards ceremony I conducted with women.

Now, even 30 years after retiring, I occasionally hear from one of the women who worked for me and they ALWAYS -- with a big smile -- remind me of my handing them their medals.

A couple of them told me later on the day of the first time I did it "Colonel, just pin on the medal!! Everyone else does!! But I understand and I really appreciate what you did."

Maybe he promised him Trump Tower Tel Aviv.

Or: maybe Bibi and Donald did a deal with the Saudis and in return the Iranians had to be dealt with.
