Oil prices headed to record highs:

the president has no idea what he has set in motion. none.

The difference between the spike in global oil prices now versus 2022 is that this time the US president single-handedly caused it to happen overnight with a policy while accepting no responsibility, while the US president in 2022 was blamed for it even though he didn’t cause it.

how long will this be sustained? A quick spike won't be devastating, but months of this would badly damage the economy and hurt everyday Americans (and there will be a knock-on effect around the world, of course).

Adjusted for inflation, that would be the equivalent of $211 today. In 2022, it got as high as $139 per barrel

We will see if it gets that high again.
