Moderates Democratic voters are more liberal these days:

While a clear majority of Americans identify as either moderates or conservatives, when asked about policies without connecting those policies to a particular party or label, a strong majority (60-80% depending on the policy) support progressive policies.

The only exceptions to this are the narrow issue of trans teens in sports, and immigration, and even on that issue Americans are moving to the left over the past year.
