Trump Privately Says He’s Open To Killing New Iranian Leader

Unidentified U.S. officials told The Wall Street Journal that President Trump would support killing the new Iranian Supreme Leader if he doesn’t comply with Trump’s demands.

The new leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, was appointed by Iranian clerics last Sunday after his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a U.S. and Israeli airstrike a little more than a week ago.

Trump told Fox News over the weekend that he’s “not happy” with Khamenei and said he believes he should get to pick Iran's new leader.

In separate comments to CBS News White House Correspondent Weijia Jiang, Trump said he has someone in mind to replace Khamenei but didn’t elaborate.
