While channel surfing one day, I watched about five minutes of "Toddlers and Tiaras" and it was disgusting. I bet every pedophile in the country was glued to their TVs watching that shit. Everything about it was repulsive, the way they tarted up the little girls; the attitudes and greediness of the parents, etc. I saw a five-or-six-year-old girl, in heavy makeup, with big hillbilly hair, sashaying across the stage, swinging her non-existent hips and singing "My baby whispers in my ear sweet nothings." WTAF? I couldn't change the channel fast enough.

Perfect example. When I moved from the midwest to the South I learned that beauty pageants for little girls were a very common thing. I worked with a woman who told me that when she had a baby girl all she ever wished for her was to win a beauty pageant.

And the American Evangelical Christian community picked this person (and I use the term lightly) as their savior. The religion that started as an attempt at a religious justification for continuing the institution of slavery and denying black people civil rights.
