Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) left a Senate Armed Service Committee briefing on the Iran war Tuesday saying he believes the Trump administration is on a path to putting U.S. troops on the ground in Iran.
We seem to be on a path toward deploying American troops on the ground in Iran to accomplish any of the potential objectives, the senator told reporters after the briefing.

Blumenthal said he left the briefing as dissatisfied and angry, frankly, as I have from any past briefing in my 15 years in the Senate.
I am left with more questions than answers, especially about the cost of the war, he said. My questions have been unanswered, and I will demand answers because the American people deserve to know.

... and too stubborn to find a way to stop it before it snowballs?

NO answers on strategy, or objectives, or likely outcome change the fact that:
The felon's regime started this war in violation of the UN Charter's prohibition on the use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of another state.
It is a "crime of aggression" under International Criminal Court definitions.
They have struck civilian targets and infrastructure, which are war crimes.
